Not bad kept me interested and made a good point at the end. With the things that people do sometimes it makes you really wonder if human beings are we truly worth saving at times. Liked it but gave it a 3/5 instead of 4/5 because movie didn't credit some actors and actresses that had unique parts in the film. [SPOILER] .

This movie took me by surprise and the movie rating should have been a little higher, but this is a great movie.

I like how it was filmed as a amateur video, but the graphics and the storyline was pretty good.

A very good zombie flick. The best place to watch this video is on Veoh or MovieShare..Movieshare takes a while to load, but the picture clarity is the best.!

It boggles me how many people think this movie is terrible! I, personally, like all of Romero's zombie movies..hell I like all zombie movies period, but this is a really good movie. Besides of course moments where in reality the camera man obviously wouldn't be recording or would make different decisions(If the camera man wasn't dumb enough to keep recording instead of helping, we, the audience, wouldn't be able to see what happened..duh!!), I think this movie was very realistic. I love zombie movies that give me insight to how it would be if this situation actually occurred and that is what this movie did for me. I can imagine being away at college and wanting to get to my family, but also wanting to survive!! I felt their pain. Great movie. 10/10 stars.

Many movies are going the way of hand held camera's.. this film wasn't exactly in the same vein as say "Cloverfield" or "Paranormal Activity", but it was similar to some degree. I great new take on the zombie genre by a classic zombie genius. Romero is the best. Quentin Terintino called him a "F'n Genuis". That's good enough for me. Watch this one. Four stars.

I love all about zombies. I have really good memories from watching this flick and I'll watch it again. Some things I didn't like, but it's normal. I don't like some things about my friends too and vice versa. It makes life much more fun.

Nobody does living dead like Romero. This is different from other films and has a lot to say about our addiction to images, events, news, easily digestible, supposedly true and real .. but he shows that it's all subjective and we're barely less primitive than those zombies when all is said and done.

There's a lot of subtle humor here in addition to some class-A gore.

George Romero is the father of the zombie genre. Everyone else just inspired themselves from him. After a knock-out remake was made of his original Dawn of the Dead why should he try to compete in an overcrowded genre? So he took here a different approach that proved very successful. Maybe not the whiz-bang movie some would want to see, but yet very powerful.

Some viewers mind the social criticism present here, but that criticism was already underlying the first trilogy (Night, Dawn, Day). He only took it further here.

No zombie lovers should miss this one.

For Romero, someone who still retains respect and admiration for previous work, Diary of the Dead points to the realization that it is time to close the door on zombie movies and move to other horror subjects.

Most Zombie films don't tote the biggest name actors or the highest budget. What they do have is a loyal cult following. George Romero especially. I watched this film with two other people, my cousin who is into ridiculous gore and lots of decapitations, my father who enjoys inventive twists and good dialog, and myself, i lie in between these two. We were all disappointed. There were barely any zombies. The characters were idiotic and unlikable. The use of the internet was somewhat inventive but turned out dumb because Romero overkilled the animosity it generated within the core characters. The acting was atrocious, understandable right? Zombie flicks love to use unknowns. At least in movies like flight of the living dead there was some comedy, about the only good thing other than the deaths. The dialog was idiotic at parts and border line Ayn Rand at others, the use of profuse philosophy creates an awkwardness in films, even more so when its not consistent. Having said all that, there was one part I did enjoy.
