Diary of a Mad HousewifeComedy-satire on the role of women at the end of the 60s in which Snodgress is the increasingly dissatisfied wife of replusively smug Benjamin who decides her only chance of happiness lies in an extra-marital affair. Unfortunately, she chooses to have it with writer Langella, who is sexy as hell but slowly rveals himself to be many times worse than her husband. It's quirky and very much of its time (the clothes are awful and the social attitudes irritating), but boasts in the lead roles two comedy character actors working perfectly in tune. A nice little oddity.
