I CONSIDER THIS MOVIE 1 OF THE BEST MOVIES I'VE SEEN LATELY. I AM HORROR FAN.. AND I'M REALLY INTO SLASHER FILMS.. I THINK "DARK RIDE" TOOK THE GOOD STUFF FROM THE CLASSICS SLASHER/HORROR FILMS AND SOMEHOW MIXED EVERYTHING TO PRODUCE WHAT I HAVE JUST WATCHED. KNOWING ALSO THAT THIS MOVIE WAS "A FILM TO DIE FOR" (A GREAT COLLECTION. NO MATTER WHAT SOME PEOPLE SAY ABOUT IT) I THOUGHT IT HAD TO BE GOOD. AND IT WAS!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE.. IT IS NOT THAT GORY (IT HAS ITS MOMENTS.. LOL) ITS CREEPY.. JUST THINKING ABOUT THE FACT OF BEING IN A REAL DARK RIDE CREEPS ME OUT.. GO AHEAD AND GIVE IT A TRY. 5/5.

PS: DARK RIDE 2 IS COMING UP.. 2011 (ACCORDING TO BLOODY DISGUSTING.COM) DIRECTED BY CRAIG SINGER THE SAME GUY THAT DIRECTED THIS ONE.

This was a very watchable movie, though not overly spectacular. It had a decent storyline, decent acting, some good kills, and a good ending. I really like Jamie Lynn Sigler, she did a good job. I'm not sure it deserves to be one of those 'To Die For' films, but it was worth at least one watch. 3/5 stars.

If anyone is old enough to remember, they would know that this is just a poor rip off of the movie The Fun House of 1981. If you are a horror fan, and you like blood and gore, dark corners and aimless young people seemingly eager to put themselves in certain death situations, then this movie will still entertain you regardless. But I would suggest watching the original slash 'em The Fun House instead; it's much creepier and scarier than this was. [SPOILER] 2 out of 5 film cans.
