Loved it, wouldn't watch it again.
I enjoyed The Life Aquatic, but that was mainly down to Bill Murray, who is always good value, but I found the film dragged a little, as not much happened.
The same could be said for The Darjeeling Ltd, except that, as the surreal, amusing, visually-beautiful and occasionally very emotional story unfolded, I found myself completely caught up in its originality, its strangeness and its earnestness.
I loved the characters, the music, the colours (sounds an odd thing to say, but it makes sense when you see the film) and the whole visual style.

The Darjeeling limited is a long distance train that cuts across India, and the film has nothing remotelely to do with the famous Tea. This is a voyage of reconciliation and discovery for three quite different brothers (Owen Wilson, Adrian Brody and Jason Schwartzmann), brought together by Wilsons character (Francis) on a venture to meet with their mother who has become a nun in a remote Indian village. His siblings however know nothing about this meaning to the trip, and despite 'itineraries' being stricly set out by Wilson, things do not happen entirely to plan, leading to a journey none of them expected. A spiritual quest can take many forms. One could argue that all of director Wes Anderson's movies focus on a sense of personal melancholy and directionlessness that often fuels such an odyssey. And they do so with a dark and offbeat wit.
But in The Darjeeling Limited, the journey toward enlightenment (or at least a degree or two of heightened self-knowledge) is the most overt of all his films.
Though the main characters in the film don't exactly eat, pray and love (they're more likely to get high, contemplate and bicker), they willingly undertake a spirit-enhancing journey.
