CommunionBased on the writings and apparently true-life experiences of one Whitley Strieber (Walken), a man visited by aliens. Unsure whether he was actually abducted or he is going mad, he seeks hypnotic therapy to find out the truth. Messy and incoherent, this is science fiction hokum peddled as reality, and as such teeters on the brink of self-parody. Certainly heartfelt and sincere (Strieber wrote the script), but too fantastic to be taken seriously. Only Walken keeps you watching, delivering another mesmerizing performance and coming across as weirder than anything that might come from the skies.
