Just saw it at the cinema and it is brilliant
I will not reveal the storyline (yes there is one) but for Kevin Smith Fans and for good movie fans this film really is a must. Yes there is cameos from all his friends and original clerks film cast members and yes there is a few jokes that pay homage to KS's original film but aside from that it is hilarous. Slow to start but after that I was choking on my popcorn in the cinema. I can't remember laughing so much recently.

Dante (O'Halloran) and Randall (Anderson) are pretty much where we left them 12 years ago; stuck behind the counter serving crap to arseholes who treat them like trash, the only difference is that now that Quick Stop has burned down they're doing it at Mooby's.

It's Dante's last day before he and his fiancé (Schwallbach) move to Florida to get married. Before that though there's the complex relationship with the boss (Dawson) to be worked out and the small matter of Randall's going away party for Dante.

Kevin Smith has grown up, even if his films haven't.

That might explain why Clerks II can't quite decide how old it wants to act. This sequel to the 1994 original has some inspired moments of the gross-out humor that made the original a cult smash.

But amid those moments, Smith also displays the tendencies of a slick, sometimes formulaic Hollywood director. The shift can be jarring. One moment we're in the middle of a sentimental flashback. The next, someone is having sex with a donkey.

The movie begins as the original did, with Dante (Brian O'Halloran, looking an awful lot like Ricky Gervais) opening the Qwik-Stop for yet another tedious...

i loved clerks (the orginal) i thought it was brilliant - so i was VERY pleasantly surprised to see there is a clerks 2 - and overall it didn't dissapoint.

Everyone likes it because all Kevin Smith movies are linked together as a 1 single plot.. and that's a good thing, it makes you remember the other films like - Mallrats, Dogma, J&Silent Bob Strike Back..
