Child's Play 3A film which achieved independent notoriety. Regardless of that, it remains a work both mindless and repellent. It's the third in the series which began with the competently directed Child's Play. Any plagiarism is blameless, since Mancini wrote all three, but whereas inspiration and collaborators helped in the first two, for this tired rehash both had deserted him. Chucky the doll, fresh off the assembly line, has himself mailed to a military academy where his little boy owner has grown up into a handsome teenage cadet. Let the mayhem begin. Dourif again supplies the voice and expletives.
