When the pupil is ready the teacher will appear
After hearing of the upcoming release of the film I was shouting ‘No, don’t touch it!’ it’s just NOT going to live up to one of my favourite books, but I was pleasantly surprised……
What is crammed into the one and half hours is good, however, for me, but doesn’t describe the insights enough – I would like these to detailed further (like the book) hence making the film longer in length. I have to admit I wasn’t impressed with the acting but hey who really cares less - this wasn’t a high budget film and it’s not out there for winning Oscars. If it leaves a deep impression on the minority of people who haven’t read the book then this has met its main purpose of release. Paulo Coelho’s ‘The Alchemist’, next....please. |
