Really enjoyed this one..was not expecting it..not a fan of the Z chick but this movie was so off the beaten path of what she usually does (lame rom/com) it surprised me. Solid 4/5

surprisingly this turned out to be really good. I never really questioned the ability of a thriller to keep me on the edge till i came across this movie and realized that it was an excellent thriller. Watch this one u won't regret it trust me if u liked orphan u'll like it.

I really enjoyed this film. Jodelle is one of my favorite child/teen actresses. I’m not a fan of Renee but I have to say that I really enjoyed her in this film. The script is great, the acting even better. (I’ve practically grown up watching Horror, Suspense, Thrillers…So…) To me this movie isn’t scary, the suspense is light but again I’ve watched things like this for so long nothing bothers me. I have to literally scare myself or it doesn’t work! LOL. Definitely give this movie a shot, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I must say.. I am SUPER BORED with bad kid movies.. That said, I liked this one. The storyline was not new but it was told well enough, though I would have liked to have known more background from the home she just came from, that was too brief of an explanation. One of the few movies I like Renee in.

If you liked Orphan but want a supernatural twist, this is your movie.

I've seen a lot of scary movies and lately I've come to the point where they don't scare me like they used to because they all seem to be the same or have something in common. I was very skeptical to watch this movie because I thought it'd be a lot like the Grudge or the Ring, but it pleasantly surprised me. It very much creeped me out and made me feel like I was there the whole time. Definitely took a tole on my emotions, which is hard for a lot of movies to do. When I'm watching movies like this on this website I often find myself skipping a couple minutes through the boring parts or the slow beginnings most scary movies had but this one had me glued to the screen the whole time.

Worth a watch in my book. 8/10.

8/10 Well given the genre and the situation you know where it's going.

Ignoring all of that and just watching the movie I think it's a good one. I've seen Jodelle in a lot of dark movies. I've never seen her in a family movie..which makes her kind of scary on her own lol.

Did you ever see the Extra’s for Silent Hill when the Director starts talking about how he wanted to cast Jodelle but he told her he wanted to play three sides and one had to be ‘The Devil’? She said “Oh Good! I’ve always wanted to play the Devil!” I started cracking up so hard, and then I said “Man I hope in the future when I have a kid she is JUST LIKE THAT.” I love that kid.

Case 39 belongs to the classic Genre of horror movies like The Omen, Children of the Corn, Ring etc. Yes all these movies have a thing in common, child demon..And Jodelle Ferland as the Evil protagonist is intense. The sweetness in her face,adds to the creepiness when she threatens Bradley Cooper in an outstanding performance..Yes I was afraid. I was afraid when the child spoke in dual voices and I was petrified watching the burnt figure running after Rene Ren?e Zellweger ( you may laugh watching sloth zombies trying to catch the heroine, but this was damn frightening)..For people who love horror and getting frightened, catch this movie over a weekend. You will not be disappointed. 8/10

ps: Lillith, the girl's name, matches closely Lilith, the name of a demoness from Ancient Near East mythologies.

It’s nice that you added a piece of History into your Post. But I have to (and by no means am I trying to create a debate here amongst religion because I DON’T want that I’m not drunk enough for it! Haha) in defense of Lilith say that before she was interoperated as a ‘Demon’ she was in fact depicted human. In stories Lilith was made of the same dirt Adam was made out of, but because she refused to lie underneath him and had ‘free will’ she was depicted as a ‘Demon’ by religious scriptures because at the time ‘man’ wanted women to obey so they turned Lilith into a demon who would snatch children yadayadayada. I had to write a fifteen page paper about someone, and I decided Lilith would be it =D Oh what a wicked web we weave.
