in one word(excellent)movie,in more than one word(absolutely excellent)its not the western type of gun hoe shoot um up ride um cowboy kinda movie but it is the up to modern time rancher type,at the beginning i wasn't quite sure that i would watch this movie but it kept getting better and better by the minute,it is a great movie it could have used a little more background music to excite the scenes to pull the mood so to speak but other than that i loved it and i would recommend it as a watch for sure,5/5.

This is no western with cowboys and indians!No trail and no shoot outs!

If you are looking for a modern day drama set in the west of USA then this may be the film for you!

I am going to try and find my horse and ride away from this one!

A very sad little tragedy, set in the modern west, but not a western as such. It shows the disastrous troubles a man can get into, dragging those around him with him, due to rotten luck and clumsiness, especially when, though well-intentioned and not really a bad person, he is rather dim-witted. Well directed and acted. The evidently low budget (few and simple sets and a small cast) did not stop this from being an above-average drama, though surely they could have afforded to show what kind of animal it was that the cougar had ripped open - we only saw the bloody gash. (4/5)

this is a low budget made for t.v. film, it seemed to me, i kept waiting for the commercial break.. 2/5 stars, really bad acting, and leaves you thinking cops are retarded out west.
