Another of Oliver Stone's classic Vietnam war movies along with Platoon, and Heaven & Earth. Tom Cruise plays the role of Ron Kovic a veteran of the Vietnam War who was totally disappointed in the way the Administration lied about the war.

The protests at the Republic and Democratic Conventions were historic and played an important part in the disapproval of the war by the American people. President Richard Nixon eventually had to end the war in defeat. This war left deep wounds in the American psyche for many years.

Many American families are still mourning their dear ones who traveled thousands of miles to die in foreign soil for a war they never understood.

This is a Classic.. Tom Cruise delivers one of his best performances. It tells a Great Biography of Ron Kovic, who was a Marine during Vietnam and the movie tells of his expierences before Vietnam and dealing with life after returning home.. Oliver Stone did a Great job.. A must watch.. 5/5..

Unfortunately, he didn't pick up the most popular movie. Very controversial, very politically engage and very ugly reality!
