I don't think the film is necessarily supposed to be a comedy; for people watching expecting that because of Oswalt's status as a comedian, don't. It's an excellent film if you watch it without any preconceived notions concerning genre.

i love sports dont get me wrong i follow them and i enjoy. But for this guy sports IS his life. i know most ppl will see this and get annoyed Pattons performance will probably get overlooked in some type of an award. There are ppl like this that exist and he plays them PERFECTLY. the movie has laughs and its got drama, but imo u gotta be a witness to the serious sport fanatics to truly get this. some may call him a loser, but losers are ppl that arent doing what they want in life. he says he is, and u know what i believe him.

I'm a little bit of a sports fan myself. I let it effect mylife in some extent, so I can relate a little here. But if it came down to Albert Pujols or a decent liveable life, I would send Albert up the river without question. I quess this movie asks "just how big of a fan do you think you are?" but the whole time I just kept thinking about how much of a loser he was. It was hard to watch at times because you just want to reach thru the screen and shake the pee out of this guy! MAN! Never again, thank god that's over..

way more drama based than comedy .. bored ridgid but some how made it all the way through

Quality rocks but the film *yawns* .. could probably count the comidic lines on 2 hands

5/10 there are plenty worse and plenty better out there

(nice to see the lead bloke in a leading roll .. just wish it had been erm funny!)

*novamo had the fastest streaming speed but all were good quality*

Don't know whats with all the negative comments, I thought this film was pretty awesome, although I would have sued that football player to hell and back lol
