Baby's Day Out
A cheeky baby is too much for its kidnappers, out-smarting them at every turn
A baby outwits its would-be kidnappers by using methods taken from its favourite story books. Overcooked and under-nourishing comedy reconstituted from ingredients pilfered from producer Hughes' earlier kiddie caper film Home Alone and also Look Who's Talking. As the ideas run dry the pace is accelerated, the sentimentality heaped on with a shovel and the slapstick becomes increasingly violent until it makes the Three Stooges look sophisticated. Verdict: It may be frantic, but it's certainly no fun. |
