I was put off at first by the way the training for the dangerous mission was carried out, which seemed to me extraordinarily and unnecessarily wasteful of human life and limb, but the movie improves as it goes on. I still don't know, however, if we were supposed to think that Lloyd Bridges is a Canadian or an American seconded to the British commandos. An American in charge of the Brits is always good box-office in the States. Remember how Frank Sinatra drove the Japs out of Burma almost single-handed?(7/10)
