although, this movie is beautifully animated, tells a great story - it rarely gives credit to the founding fathers of music in this country and makes it seem as though contemporary popular music was created by russian jews - THIS IS ABSURD. every racial-tribe made great contributions to the music world and industry as we know it today - and it is clear that the writers who penned this story either have little knowledge of that history OR purposely ignored it.

this is a nice film - enjoy it - but it is NOT based in facts - it is a fantasy, pure and simple.
