DON'T MISS THIS!!A film well worth watching!
I was really impressed with the performances from Timberlake, Foster and Melchin in this movie. I have just seen Justin in 'Edison' and thought that the boy has potential in acting. He certainly takes a leap (and shines)in this flick as Frankie, Johnny Truelove's /AKA Jesse James Hollywood's 'boy'.Based on a true story of the youngest criminal wanted by the FBI, it just makes you think that following a life of crime is really not for people with brains or intelligence. Certainly killing an innocent boy as a form of damage limitation has got to be the stupidest idea ever. Some great scenes in this movie: Foster as the raving Mazursky delivers a masterful, convincing ...
Not bad at all.
This was surprisingly good. It does lack somewhat in depth but I suppose target audience does apply. Willis does a good job acting against type and shock horror ole timberhead is pretty good, though there might be a arguement he was playing himself in most scenes!
There's one thing you'll remember about Alpha Dog: Sharon Stone in a fat suit. Love or hate this tale of wannabe teen gangsters in SoCal, it's Stone's turn as a bereaved mother carrying several pounds of padding that's destined to enter the movie trivia books. Almost totally unrecognizable from her earlier (slimmer) scenes, Stone's roly-poly re-appearance is so outrageous, so utterly unconvincing that it upends the entire movie. It's as if someone spliced a scene from the Farrellys' Shallow Hal into the projector as a joke.
If Alpha Dog were a better film, Stone's fat suit faux pas might have been a tragedy. Instead, it's just one of a series of missteps from wr...

This movie was really good. I give it a 10/10. I'm glad all the guys got what they deserved. All they had to do was return the kid to the parents. Justin Timberlake did a great job. A must see.
& to think Justin was overshadowed and a back up singer? This film was well directed, well acted, and owes me a box of tissues. That Nicholas Markowitz boy? Had all that naievety in the midst of those pigs! Dear lord, I left during the last moments of the film, I couldn't watch. But I recommend to those of you who can. http://ww.youtube.com/watch?v=LBC7pilGoPc
[SPOILER]
Johnny is a Los Angeles drug dealer. He comes from a good family, owns his home, several cars and enjoys partying with his friends. Johnny is 19. When his friend Jake welches on a debt, Johnny and his boys kidnap Jake's 15-year-old brother Butch and hold him as a marker. Even though Butch has numerous chances to escape, he doesn't. He's enjoying partying with them, losing his virginity and having a good time - until something goes horribly wrong.
Wow what a disappointment! I was watching this with friends and we were all excited to see Justin act and shirtless and all that, but I actually wanted to kick him in the teeth to get some sense into his big head!
I was waiting for something to happen. A great action scene, a good dialogue, many some reason for their actions..but NOHWW
Wtf were these guys thinking!? Many before me explained it well and I don't even have to say anything.
I would like to say one thing though: whoever thinks the acting is great.. NO. Really?? WTF MAN!! You're not ghetto AT ALL "yow yow yow" Yeah, no. Pff.
2/5 for bringing this story out. ALL HAIL JUSTICE!!
