Obviously some people didn't get it.

What a gem this movie is. A glorious tribute to the Beatles, to the 60's. . . and to Hair. Yes, imagine Hair redone with a Beatles soundtrack.

I loved every minute of this movie. Like somebody else said, it belongs up there with the great musical movies like The Wall and Hair.

I can watch this over and over.

Don't miss it!

What a great modern day representation of the music and message the Beatles were putting forth 40 years ago! Loved every second of this picture!! I was not a big fan of the Beatles by ANY means before watching this film(I was born in 1972 - so I kinda missed ALL the events in the film, first-hand anyway ;) ), but this movies really brought forth the conflict and the thought of the times, in a very understandable and well thought-out format. Yes, this IS a musical(for the majority of the film), but there is a solid plot, good performances, and steady progress from opening to ending. I strongly suggest that if ANY ONE OF YOU are wavering to invest the time to watch this film - AND you even remotely like the music of the Beatle's - that you DEFINATELY give this a chance!! I doubt you will be disappointed - I was not!! 4.5/5

Oh, I am not certain, as I said I am NOT an advid fan, but [SPOILER] ? Just kinda "felt" that way to me, but it may just have been me!

they could of just had a picture of paint drying and put the music of the beatles in the backround and i would of liked it, but it was a very nice movie with direction and they tied in the different songs nicely. The beatles are awesome, and every performer in this movie brought their own great unique voice, I enjoyed this movie very much

This was highly recommended to me from some good friends and I enjoyed it immensely.. The way they made this was great by taking Beatles music and incorporating it into a actual story.. The Beatles collection of songs is amazing. I usually don't like musicals but this one was really enjoyable.. 5/5..

I defy anybody not to LOVE this movie - it's fantastic. So much so, I am going to buy it on DVD. I'd never even heard of it and just stumbled across it on this site by chance, but I am so glad that I did - best film/musical, I've seen in a long time.

I first wondered why it took me so long to watch this movie. I heard of it, and knew it existed, but never gave it a single viewing. That said, tonight I gave it a shoot after my brother swore it was an amazing film. First, so everyone knows, I love the Beatles. So, with that bit of knowledge tucked away I will say this. I have no clue what the heck this movie was suppose to be besides a tangled love story set to music. The end! All the other hour long fillers was just that..filler. Songs tossed in just to be there. Wierd scences to make it seem all freacky deacky 60's maui wowey, and then simple dialoge to push it back on track, then Eddie Izzard shows up in a tent, train derailed, passengers die, then were going thru a tunnel and the signal is lost, and poof..roll credits! What a shame. On a side note, why was Jimi Hendrix and a super tanned Janis Joplin doing in the mix? Quess it was just there for a time refrence. Like we really needed to be sure of the fact that it was the sixties and not the late 50's. I really have no clue. Tell ya what. I'll give it a second glance in about a week, once I ingested about a good couple of ounces of shrooms and tell ya what I think about it then..okay..it's a date then. Till then..

This movie is fully a contender with the wall, tommy and any other musical, or favored movie.
