Hey, this is a nice movie and a perfect vehicle for the talents of Hugh Grant. It's funny and warm and makes a lot of good points about Life, the shallow single male and the worthy single mother.. believe me, I've been there! It's convincingly done, the way Hugh and the boy gradually form a relationship, and the boy's Mother.. I met her clone hippy sister a few times over the years, knitting sweaters out of tofu.. Aarrgh! Good movie

The annoying thing about Hugh Grant is that he always plays the same old character in the same old movie.But this is one of the best performence he ever did.He should do more of these roles than waste his time doing romance crap as the bumbling charmer like he's been doing for the past,what,20 years?On this movie:one of my faves all time.
