A Walk in the SunA strangely quiet Second World War movie which concentrates more on characterization than on depicting the conflict at its most brutal. The focus is on a platoon involved in the invasion of Italy, with the individual thoughts and characters of each outlined as they prepare an assault on a remote farmhouse acting as a Nazi hideout. In this way it shows the effect of war on the common man, far more effectively than many of its more graphic peers.
