A Force of One
Between the death of Bruce Lee and the emergence of Jackie Chan, martial arts fans had to make do with the plank of wood that was Chuck Norris, the six-times world karate champion. Displaying all his customary charm, the hairy one is characteristically cast as a Vietnam vet fighting cop-killing drug dealers in a small Californian town. Paul Aaron's follow-up to Good Guys Wear Black is unpretentious action fare for the not-too-bothered brigade. Despite its screenplay by Shaft author Ernest Tidyman, this has about as much life as an opponent who's just been felled by Norris.
