A Boy and His DogThere's more to Don Johnson than 'Miami Vice', as this compelling cult movie (whose cute title is as deceptive as they come), based on a novella by Harlan Ellison, shows.
In a post-apocalyptic future, Johnson is the illiterate, homeless scavenger who survives by communicating telepathically with his dog. When he is taken in by the leaders of an underground society, it looks as though things might improve - but they intend to use him purely for reproductive purposes. Although future-sucks movies are all too commonplace, this one is a true original, which carries its premise all the way through to its genuinely shocking finale.
