A Big Hand for the Little LadyA lovely comedy western with some sharp performances and a happily twisted ending. Fonda is a farmer on his way to California to buy a farm, but is seduced into joining a poker game and betting the family fortune. His only problem is that he's a lousy poker player and not in the greatest of health. So, when he has a heart attack while holding a fantastic hand of cards, his wife, Woodward, has to step into the fray to save the day. Unfortunately, she knows nothing about poker. Woodward is a joy as the sometimes dizzy little woman, and her fellow player Robards is suitably crusty as the man who's left a wedding to be in the game.
