Fair French thriller although there are a few flaws here and there. At times predictable, and on several occasions unexplainable and unbelievable, just an example, while there others equally significant - [SPOILER] . The pace, perhaps a good editor would avoid lengths that cut the suspense, and deliver the given material as a real thriller. In some parts the viewer is driven at the limit of boredom.

Depardieu's performance was a bit disappointing as he appears in this movie unmotivated. Having in mind his acting ability I expected more, but sometimes he can be mediocre, as he was in this one.

The direction failed to present the background of the 2 lead actors, while most of the action sequences were shot at depopulated areas. No question on the characters but still..
