Date of Birth: 30 September 1956 Brother Kevan Hall is the design and creative director of the House of Halston. African-American 1980s Broadway dancer/singer who turned to straight dramatics by the '90s and is a sometime TV director. Formed Motor City Film Corporation. Was a singer/dancer on Broadway in "Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music" in 1981. A few years later, he appeared in the original cast of "Dreamgirls," playing the agent role of Marty, which was later played in the 2006 movie adaptation by Danny Glover. ... Classically trained at Juilliard. Father Curtis was an owner of a construction company and mother Angeline was a nurse. Has three children: Che (born 1979 from a previous relationship) and Henry Hunter (1996) and Zora (1999) with wife Kasi Lemmons. Earned an Emmy nomination for his recurring role as a transsexual who commits suicide on an early episode of "ER" (1994). Studied theater at Richmond College in London, England. Served as assistant editor, photography assistant and narrator for his wife Kasi's documentary short "Fall from Grace" (1987).
