Date of Birth: 27 January 1968 Popular music artist. One of the originators of the musical genre Trip-Hop. Appears in the video "Parabola" by Tool. His song "Excess," co-written by Alanis Morissette, has been featured in the movies Bully (2001), Thir13en Ghosts (2001), Queen of the Damned (2002) and also served as the main title theme to the now-cancelled WB series "Glory Days" (2002). Though, everyone considers him a originator of trip-hop - Tricky, himself, gets frustrated at that label for his music. In one of the episodes he appears in, "Girlfriends" they tied his hate for the label into his appearance. ... Mother, Maxine Quaye committed suicide when he was 4.
