Date of Birth: 6 March 1953 With her consent, her image was used in the UK cinema--and later video--artwork for the film Le sexe qui parle (1975), despite the fact that she isn't in it. Began career as a coat model before becoming a lingerie model, winning modelling industry awards such as 'Miss Teenage London', 'Miss Benson and Hedges' and 'Miss TV Times'. Appears on the cover of the 1992 book 'Doing Rude Things: The History of the British Sex Film 1957-1981.' Claims a body double was used for the hardcore sex scene in Blonde Ambition (1981). ... Had a racing horse named after her, this despite the fact that the horse in question was a castrated male. Suzy Mandel (the horse) was trained by one Dick Allen in the Scottish Borders. A cartoon strip based around her called "The Adventures of Suzy Mandel", was published in Whitehouse magazine in the late 1970s.
