Date of Birth: 26 April 1947 Providence-born character actor Ron McLarty gained fame in the 1980s as Sgt. Frank Belson on Spencer for Hire. Following that, he appeared on ABC's infamous short-lived Cop Rock and was a staple guest-player on everything from Law and Order to Sex and the City throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s.
