Name: Roberts Blossom
Date of Birth: 1 January 1924 As of the early 1990s Blossom has released some of his dramatic poems on video. Started out his career as a therapist. During the 1950s and 1960s he was involved with the filmstage concept: the simultaneous presentation of live actors with film and/or slides. He is the recipient of four Obies (the Off-Broadway Tony) and a Show Business Award. Graduated from the prestigious Asheville School in 1941. Was named a "Distinguished Performance" for his appearance in "A Village Wooing" a the first Obie Awards for the 1955-56 season. The Obies are presented in recognition for achievement in the Off-Broadway theater. ... He's also a poet and a playwright. Attended Harvard. Has a daughter, Debbie, and a son, Michael.
