Was nominated for Broadway's 1979 Tony Award as Best Actor (Musical) for "They're Playing Our Song." Sang with a group called "The Teen Tones" and, in the 1950s, appeared on "Ted Mack & the Original Amateur Hour" (1948) singing "Sunday Kind Of Love" and won.
