Name: Richard Bradford
Date of Birth: 10 November 1937 He showed definite handsome leading man promise in the late 1960s, but abruptly left Hollywood for over a half decade before returning in burlier character roles. Played Dr. Joe Gannon on the pilot of "Medical Center" (called U.M.C.). Chad Everett essayed the role when it became a series. Though less successful than "I Spy", "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." or "Mission: Impossible", the similar British TV adventure series "Man in a Suitcase" (1967), which starred Bradford, brought the actor cult recognition as a former intelligence agent turned private investigator in London. ... Son of Richard Edwin Bradford, Sr. and his wife Rose. He was the best man at Jack Nicholson's wedding. A long time admirer of Marlon Brando and James Dean. Admitted in an interview his hair started graying at age 16. Attened Texas A&M on a football scholarship, until an injury finished his dreams of playing football. Undeterred, he transferred to Texas University hopping to become a professional baseball player. However, that did not pan out and he turned to acting. In 1957 he applied and was accepted to Berghoff Studios in New York. He took odd jobs over that time to pay for his classes. When he saved enough money he applied for entrance into the Lee Strasburg Actor's Studio. He was accepted in 1962 and spent two years studying there before moving onto Broadway.
