Date of Birth: 6 November 1949 Daughter: Kate born 1977. Younger son of Lord Michael Havers, QC, a Conservative MP for Wimbledon, Attorney General (1979-1987) and Lord High Chancellor of England (1987). Lord Havers was the prosecutor of Gerry and Giuseppe Conlon, whose story was portrayed in the film In the Name of the Father (1993). He now claims to regret not moving to Hollywood after the success of Chariots of Fire (1981). He and Gary Graham were the only two actors who were permitted to audition for the role of Captain Janeway in "Star Trek: Voyager" (1995). ... His wife, Polly, was ill with cancer for four years and died on 24 June 2004. Attended same school as singer Sarah Brightman. Supports Fulham Football Club. Nephew of Dame Elizabeth Butler-Sloss (born 1933) who in 1988 became the first woman named to the Court of Appeal and later President of the Family Division.
