The film brought them 9 academy award nominations and an oscar for Best Original Screenplay. The following year Steven Spielberg cast a role in the film .
Since then his roles have been wide and varied earning him praise as one of the best actors in Hollywood. From a bi-sexual murderer in to the mysterious assasin in the hugely successful Bourne trilogy. In between which of course he also starred in the Oceans (11,12,13) trilogy. ... Other notable films he has appeared in are Scorsese's as a undercover mobster and De Niro's in which he was cast as a CIA agent. There has been much speculation as to whether he would appear in a 4th Bourne movie - a rumour he at first denied - but there has since been confirmation that he will reprise his role again. Although he has yet to comment directly on this move he has been quoted as saying he feels the character has not been put to bed yet. Time will tell..
