Some of his paintings have incorporated floresecent pigments in luminescent (glow-in-the-dark) base.Brother of 'Robert Mothersbaugh' (qv) and Jim Mothersbaugh.Son of 'Robert Mothersbaugh Sr.' (qv)Videos for songs such as "Whip It", "Freedom of Choice", "Satisfaction", "Love without Anger", "Beautiful World", and "Through Bein' Cool" ... were staples of MTV's rotation in its early months on the air. Some of those videos can be seen today on the digital-cable channel VH1 Classics.Long after the break-up of his band Devo, Mothersbaugh has gone on to become one of Hollywood's most respect film composers, having done the musical scores to all of Wes Anderson's scored films and the theme from the TV show, "Rugrats," among others.
