Name: Marius Goring
Date of Birth: 23 May 1912 Founder member of UK Equity, the Actor's Union in 1929. He joined its council in 1949 and was its vice president from 1963-65 and from 1975-82. He was awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in 1991 for his services to drama. He was elected as a Fellow to the Royal Society of Literature in 1976. Daughter, Phyllida.
