Name: Malachi Throne
Date of Birth: 1 December 1928 Although his guest character on "Babylon 5" was simply "Centauri Prime Minister" when he appeared, the character is later referred to as "Prime Minister Malachi", lending Throne's real name to the fictional character. Turhan Bey appeared opposite as the Centauri emperor who was later referred to as "Emperor Turhan". Father of Zachary Throne & Joshua Throne. Wife's name is Judith. Is one of only 31 actors and actresses to have worked on both the original Star Trek (up to and including Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country) and then in one of the spin-offs. ... Provided the voice of The Keeper (played on-screen by 'Wylie, Meg') in "The Cage", the first pilot episode for "Star Trek" (1966). "The Cage" was unusable as a main series episode, so elements were incorporated as flashbacks in the two-part episode "The Menagerie". Malachi Throne was cast in this episode, this time to appear on-screen as Commodore Mendez, so consequently The Keeper had to be revoiced by someone else. Was with Leonard Nimoy for both his first (the first ever _"Star Trek" (1966)_ episode 'The Cage') and last (the _"Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987)_ episode 'Unification Part II') 'Star Trek' appearances. Has appeared in four different productions with Leonard Nimoy: "Star Trek" (1966), "Mission: Impossible" (1966), Assault on the Wayne (1971) (TV) and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (1987). Bares a strong resemblance to Victor Raider-Wexler who he appeared with in the "Law & Order" (1990) episode "Mushrooms". Narrated the teaser trailer for Star Wars (1977). Both he and Ed Binns played Alexander Mundy's government boss on It Takes a Thief (1968) and both actors debuted on the same episode of Brenner (1959).
