[April 2002] He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in German and Journalism He once bought a Cadillac El Dorado from Hunter S. Thompson. His great-great-grandfather, Adam Klein, was a founding father of Klein, Texas, where Lyle was born and now resides. Engaged to April Kimble. [2006] Inducted into the Texas Film Hall of Fame on March 10, 2006. The other inductees were Matthew McConaughey, Kris Kristofferson, JoBeth Williams and Cybill Shepherd. ... Originally slated to play one of the singing cowboys in A Prairie Home Companion (2006). Graduated from Klein High School, the first high school built in the Klein Independent School District, named for his ancestor, Adam Klein. All High Schools in the District include the Klein name.
