Date of Birth: 5 June 1977 Initially auditioned for the role of Rory Gilmore in "Gilmore Girls" (2000). Although born in New Jersey, U.S.A., she was considered transient during her childhood as her parents traveled around Europe. The character of Paris Gellar on Gilmore Girls was written for Liza, because she was wanted in the show. Engaged to Paul Adelstein [May 2006] She became an aunt in 2006, when her sister Samantha had a child after she moved to the Los Angeles area. Weil had aspirations of becoming an archaeologist in her younger years, because of the Indiana Jones film trilogy and a childhood crush on Harrison Ford. ... She and her Gilmore Girls co-star Dakin Matthews (Hanlin Charleston, headmaster of Chilton) both appeared in the same episode of the first season of the West Wing (Take Out the Trash Day).
