[1992-2001] Attended Catholic school as a child. When she met Tim Burton in a club at New Year's 1991, she had just quit modeling for Calvin Klein. She became his inspiration and muse for many of his films. Grew up in New Jersey, raised by her father and her grandparents. Her grandmother died when Lisa Marie was four. She moved to New York at age 16 to study theatre, dance and music. ... Professional dancer - she studied ballet for eight years. For her role in Mars Attacks! (1996), her costume was so tight that it had to be stitched on. To research her role of Vampira for Ed Wood (1994) she sought out Maila Nurmi, the original Vampira that her character was based on.
