Name: Leo Gordon
Date of Birth: 2 December 1922 Actor Leo V. Gordon was trained for his craft at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In films from 1954, Gordon was usually cast in brutal bad-guy roles, e. g. John Dillinger in director Don Siegel's Baby Face Nelson (1957). His finest (and least threatening) film performance was in the low-budget The Intruder (1962) as the fair-minded Southern sheriff whose honorable behavior during the court-ordered integration of his town nearly results in his death. The Intruder was produc ... ed and directed by Roger Corman, with whom Gordon worked frequently in the late 1950s-early 1960s.During his Corman years, Gordon was given a chance to write or co-write several screenplays. His writing credits range from such five-day jobs as Hot Rod Girl (1958) to the big-budget Tobruk (1966). On television, Leo V. Gordon played roustabout Hank Miller on Circus Boy (1956) and police sergeant Theodore Kick on Enos (1980). He should not be confused with Leon Gordon, also an actor and screenwriter of an earlier generation. Read moreLeo Gordon movies (actor)
