Date of Birth: 14 January 1945 Studied acting with Wynn Handman, who was a protege of Sandy Meisner. At the time she was playing terminally ill cancer patient Vivian Bearing in "Wit," her brother was battling cancer. She shaved her head for the role. Veteran stage actress who has won numerous acting awards, including the Outer Critics, Drama Desk, Obie and Lucille Lortel awards for her searing performance in "Wit."
