Date of Birth: In 1996 he won the Kilkenny Cream of the Ireland award for Performing Arts for his work on Double Helix. In 1995, his play True Lines won the Stewart Parker Award for Best New Play. He is associate director at the Donmar Warehouse. He is a graduate from the University College Cork. After seeing Mark O'Rowe's play Howie the Rookie at The Bush Theatre, he approached him and asked him had he ever considered writing a screenplay. The answer was no. Six months later he received a phone call from O'Rowe telling him that he had written a screenplay but not to tell anyone about it. The screenplay was for Intermission which premiered in the summer of 2003. ...
