Date of Birth: 4 January 1941 Best known as the sailor in the "Old Spice" commercials Father of Matthew Perry and Mia Perry Played Matthew Perry's father in Fools Rush In (1997), and later in "Scrubs" (2001); he is scheduled to do so again in the upcoming Beginning of Wisdom, The (2008). He and Matthew have also appeared on the same shows at separate times. First, John played Joshua's (Tate Donovan) father on "Friends" (1994) for one episode, but did not appear in any scenes with Matthew.
