Name: Jane Frazee
Date of Birth: 18 July 1918 A professional entertainer since the age of six, Jane Frazee and her sister 'Ruth Frazee' (qv) had a vaudeville act and appeared in nightclubs and on radio. They journeyed to Hollywood, but the act broke up when Ruth failed her screen tests and Jane passed hers. Jane was quite attractive with a pleasant singing voice, and went on to play in numerous westerns and light musicals. She did a lot of work for Universal Pictures, which put her to the test by having her warble amidst the antics of 'Bud ... Abbott' (qv) and 'Lou Costello (I)' (qv) in _Buck Privates (1941)_ (qv) and 'Ole Olsen (I)' (qv) and 'Chic Johnson' (qv) in _Hellzapoppin' (1941)_ (qv). She married actor/director 'Glenn Tryon' (qv), but they divorced in 1947.
