Date of Birth: Ho-Jung is a fast-rising actress whose talent, bold style and colorful spirit have gotten attention from the moment she stepped off the plane in Los Angeles. A painter, a fashionista and a performer, she embodies the dynamic, eclectic spirit that is today's indie actress.Ho-Jung was born in Seoul, South Korea and lived there until she was seven, when her family moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. It's here that Ho-Jung was raised, and her imagination found ample stimulation in the lush, vibrant colors th... at surrounded her in nature and Hawaii's people. Ho-Jung has always been a creative, expressive person, showing an early interest in fashion and an eye for fine art and craft, but it was not until later in life that she decided to pursue acting. An introvert first, she went to college in Honolulu to study Fine Art and Painting. While in college she started a career in fashion at Chanel Boutique in Waikiki. After several buying trips to New York and Paris, she decided to move to New York City to study figurative art and continue her career in fashion with Chanel.Were it not for a chance meeting with legendary acting teacher and director Gene Frankel, Ho-Jung might have never stepped into the spotlight. After meeting him at a party and learning of his class, Ho-Jung devoted herself to five years of study, steadily unfolding her talent. Gene encouraged Ho-Jung to grow in her unique ability to "throw love into her characters." His guidance opened her to the infinite colors and layers within human behavior.It wasn't long before she was winning leads in Off-Broadway shows and booking indie films. When Ho-Jung was cast as the lead in two plays simultaneously, she knew it was time to jump into acting full time. Since arriving in LA, Ho-Jung's flair for drama and comedy has kept her in the gaze of the industry's top casting directors. Within the first day of arriving to the city, Ho-Jung secured an agent and quickly amassed a series of roles in television, film and commercials.Making her studio film debut she landed a major supporting role opposite Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington and Patrick Wilson in Lakeview Terrace. Ho-Jung found herself being directed by a personal favorite, Neil LaBute. She followed that by working with Argentina-born Alejandro Chomski in the indie feature A Beautiful Life. Her credits include guest-star roles on My Generation, Gilmore Girls and recurring roles on Talk Show With Spike Feresten and Love Without Borders, shot on location in Moscow, Russia.Ho-Jung remains a passionate artist and constantly studies the acting craft. Her teachers in LA have included Milton Katselas, Catlin Adams, Sharon Chatten, Gary Imhoff, Guy Camilleri and Bjorn Johnson.Ho-Jung is a member of SAG, AFTRA, AEA and East West Players.
