Date of Birth: 24 August 1923 Helena Carter was born into a family of Irish origin. As she was studing English Literature at the Columbia University Graduate School -- to get teacher's diploma -- she began to work as a model for Conover fashion-house. So, the photographer Dick Isaacs transformed her into a cover-girl. Then, movie producer Leonard Goldstein (of Universal-International) offered her a contract as an actress. Helena had married a certain Ralph C., but then divorced.
