Date of Birth: 6 August 1957 Graduated from E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg, Virginia. Performs in Broadway and off-Broadway plays. Grew up in Lynchburg, Va. Won Broadway's 1992 Tony Award as Best Actress (Musical) for portraying Adelaide in a revival of "Guys and Dolls." Previously, she has been nominated in 1989 as Best Actress (Featured Role - Musical) for "Jerome Robbins' Broadway." Subsequently, she was nominated in 2001 as Best Actress (Musical) for a revival of "Bells Are Ringing." Her role of Kelly on "Huff" (2004) started out as a guest star role. Bob Lowry, creator/executive producer/writer/director, turned the role into a large recurring arc, and in season 2, her role became a series regular. ... Her son, Henry, was born in 1996.
