She defeated two other students in addition to a "protest" candidate, Number Six from the classic television show _"The Prisoner" (1967)_ (qv). (A ballot change on the day of the election, in which a new category of "Most Colorful Candidate" appeared with Number Six nominated in that category, helped cement her victory).
