Date of Birth: 17 July 1944 Sister-in-law of Hildegard Knef. She was the first actress considered for the role of Captain Kathryn Janeway in "Star Trek: Voyager" (1995). However Canadian actress Geneviève Bujold was cast in that role, only to resign after two days of filming because she was not used to the demands of a weekly TV series.
