Name: Brooke Tansley
Date of Birth: 26 April 1978 Brooke was the first actress from her hometown of Waterbury, Connecticut to star on Broadway since Rosalind Russell in 1953's "Wonderful Town". She and her brother, Scott, once filled out 3,000 contest entries and won a trip to Disney World. Another trip to Disney was paid for by collecting cans. Went on "an incredible six week cross country adventure" before officially moving to Los Angeles, California in 2007. Brooke is of Italian, Spanish, Irish, and English descent. Brooke's role in the Season 6 finale of Law & Order: Criminal Intent was written for her after several impressive callbacks for other episodes earlier in the season. The character was named Belle as a nod to her run in the Broadway production of Disney's Beauty & the Beast (as Belle, of course). ... Was offered the role of Shakespearean porn star Stacy in the indie comedy Slippery Slope on the same day that she was offered the role of Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Broadway.
