Name: Barry Jones
Date of Birth: 6 March 1893 British character actor Barry Jones firmly established himself as a stage star as early as 1921. Ten years later, Jones made the transition to films, most famously as Bluntschli in the filmization of G. B. Shaw's Arms and the Man. He then went back to the stage, reemerging on screen in the postwar years. His movie and television characters were generally of an intellectual and/or aristocratic nature: Aristotle in Alexander the Great (1955), Count Rostov in War and Peace (1956) and Juli ... us Caesar in the Shakespearean TV series Spread of the Eagle (1963). His most fondly remembered film role was also his most atypical: deranged explosives expert Professor Willingdon, who threatens to lay waste to London in Seven Days to Noon (1950).Read moreBarry Jones movies (actor)
